Conservancy Park, located at 5989 Burlington Pike in Burlington, Kentucky, is the site of a former gravel pit. This property was purchased by The Boone Conservancy in 2004 and with the help of numerous local partners, was reclaimed and transformed into a beautiful 45 acre park. Conservation practices were implemented to help stabilize and improve soil quality and native biodiversity by planting thousands of native trees and grassland species. Today, this beautiful park is leased and managed by Boone County Parks. The park is open every day from dawn til dusk. Park amenities and activities include a picnic shelter, fishing pond, hiking and bird watching. The park is home to the Lee McNeely Birding Trail, a one-mile trail focusing on bird watching in Northern Kentucky.
