Boone County Ohio River Initiative

We are Northern Kentucky organizations collaborationg to preserve the natural and historic resources of Boone County and increase access to the beautiful Ohio River for passive recreation. Led by The Boone Conservancy and the Boone County Conservation District, the Ohio River Initiative is a recipient of the National Park Service Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance program.

Boone County Ohio River Initiative (BCORI) Mission:
1. Highlight and preserve the natural and cultural resources along the Ohio River
2. Increase accessibility and access to Ohio River resources
3. Foster proper management of public lands
4. Support river town economies
